Advanced First Aid (previously OFA 3) is an in-depth 70-hour program that gives first aid attendants a much deeper understanding of emergency procedures and patient care. Learners are trained and assessed across anatomy and physiology, injury and trauma management, medical emergencies, airway and oxygen therapy, CPR/AED, and multiple-casualty situations. It prepares attendants for high-level workplace first aid responsibilities.

  • Understand anatomy, physiology, and priority action approaches
  • Manage soft tissue, eye, and burn injuries
  • Treat head, spinal, pelvic, and abdominal injuries
  • Respond to medical emergencies such as diabetes, asthma, and poisoning
  • Deliver oxygen therapy and manage the airway
  • Perform CPR/AED and manage respiratory and circulatory emergencies
  • Handle fractures, dislocations, and environmental injuries
  • Coordinate multiple-casualty management and rapid transport

Completion & certification

To receive your credentials you must attend and complete the entirety of the course and complete all the necessary components as required by the course provider.
