Emergency First Aid - Community Care
A fast-paced one-day course (about 9 hours) that meets BC Community Care and Assisted Living Act first aid requirements and the Canada Labour Code basic first aid standard. Care providers are trained and assessed in first aid for infants, children and adults, including opioid response with naloxone, and earn CPR Level B and AED certification.

- Perform adult, child and infant resuscitation and choking response
- Control severe bleeding and care for wounds
- Respond to medical conditions such as anaphylaxis, seizures and diabetes
- Administer naloxone for opioid poisoning
