Alpha Training Intelligence · the standard

Adaptive safety training. Verified competency. Auditable proof.

Alpha Training Solutions has trained workers since 1997 — 65,000+ and counting. We’re taking that real-world instructional experience and building a new kind of training platform: adaptive AI instruction, independent assessment, and mandatory hands-on skills verification.

Where this stands today

This page describes the model we hold ourselves to — not a switch we’ve flipped across the catalogue. The first course built to it, Confined Space Entry, Monitor & Rescue, is the working model and opens soon. From there, every course certified under Alpha’s own name will be delivered and evidenced this way.

Applies to courses certified under Alpha's own name — provider courses (Canadian Red Cross · St. John Ambulance · Energy Safety Canada) run exactly as those bodies design them.

First course: Confined Space Entry, Monitor & Rescue — opening soon

This is not a conventional online course.

No videos, no multiple-choice quiz, no completion certificate for showing up. Each learner is guided through the full course by an AI instructor that adapts explanations, examples, scenarios, pacing and remediation to the individual. Learners must demonstrate understanding in their own words — they can’t recognize the right answer, guess through a quiz, or bury a critical knowledge gap under a high overall score.

The standard

The teaching adapts. The standard doesn’t.

Every Alpha-issued course is built on a controlled set of mandatory master requirements tied to authoritative regulatory, standards and organizational sources. Every learner must successfully demonstrate every applicable requirement — the teaching approach may adapt to the person, but the competency standard never does.

The platform records the complete learning and assessment process:

  • What was taught
  • Which requirements were addressed
  • How the learner responded
  • Where the learner struggled
  • What remediation was provided
  • Whether the requirement was successfully re-demonstrated
  • Which jurisdictional rules applied
  • What practical skills were observed and verified

Independent assessment

The instructor teaches. The assessor decides.

The AI instructor and the AI assessor are separate. The instructor helps the learner understand; the assessor independently evaluates whether the required standard was met. Critical safety failures cannot be averaged away or offset by stronger performance elsewhere.

Practical verification

Hands still get checked by hands.

Where physical skills are required, learners complete a standardized in-person practical assessment with an authorized assessor. Certification reflects both demonstrated understanding and observable hands-on performance.

Choose how it’s delivered

One architecture. Every format.

Every delivery format runs from one governed course architecture — the same competency requirements, assessment standards and audit controls. It carries confined space first, and is designed to extend to fall protection, H₂S, equipment operation, first aid theory, lockout, respiratory protection, ground disturbance, transportation safety and electrical safety as each Alpha-issued course is brought onto the standard.

AI-led online + in-person practical

Independent AI-led learning, followed by a standardized in-person practical assessment.

Instructor-led classroom

Full classroom delivery — a blend of Alpha's own courses and provider courses from Energy Safety Canada, Canadian Red Cross, and St. John Ambulance.

AI-supported instructor-led

An instructor in the room, with the AI carrying the record and the standard — coming.

Blended cohort

Online theory with the AI instructor, hands-on days together as a crew.

Enterprise workforce deployment

Rolling a whole workforce through one governed architecture — coming.

For learners

More personalized, more demanding, and more effective instruction — an instructor that adapts to you and won't let a critical gap slide.

For employers

Stronger evidence that workers didn't merely attend training — they understood it, and demonstrated the required skills. Pull the record any time.

For training agencies

What's ahead: advanced courses without building proprietary AI systems, 3D environments, regulatory engines, or assessment infrastructure. Authorized partners will deliver classroom courses, run practicals, and join a scalable national network.

Training that compounds

Every course improves the next one.

The platform builds a longitudinal learner profile from demonstrated performance — recurring misconceptions, the explanation formats that land, retention over time, practical versus theoretical strengths. Those insights carry forward, so a learner’s next course starts with a better instructor on day one.

The profile adapts how we teach — never what’s required. It serves instruction, not surveillance: employers see outcomes and records, never the profile itself.

Alpha is not a technology company attempting to enter safety training.

We are an experienced safety training organization using AI to improve how safety knowledge is taught, assessed, verified and documented. Our objective is straightforward: deliver more complete training, identify the knowledge gaps conventional testing misses, verify practical performance, and create a level of competency evidence traditional training records cannot provide.
