H₂S Alive (Blended)
A blended renewal of the Energy Safety Canada H2S Alive certification that pairs a roughly 3-hour online theory session with a short in-person practical assessment (about 3.5 hours total). It's built to renew workers with minimal time away from the job, so they can safely handle hydrogen sulfide in the workplace. What you’ll learn
- Identify H₂S properties, health hazards, and likely locations
- Conduct a hazard assessment and apply controls
- Use SCBA and SABA properly
- Operate gas monitors and detector tube devices
- Apply the Seven-Step Initial Response Strategy and demonstrate rescue techniques

Current valid unexpired H2S Alive certification · complete the online portion first · minimum age 16 · government-issued photo ID

To receive your credentials you must attend and complete the entirety of the course and complete all the necessary components as required by the course provider.
