ATV Safety


Length of Course: 5-7 hours
Certification: Canada Safety Council
Valid: No Expiry

  • Be at least 16 years of age
  • PPE - CSA approved helmet, steel toe boots, gloves and weather appropriate and modest clothing (no shorts or tank tops)
  • Bagged lunch and liquids
  • Government Issued Photo I.D.
  • ATV (1 per person)

Knowing all you can about your ATV and the places you can ride is the best preparation for safe and enjoyable riding. The ATV Rider's course is a 5-7 hour "all hands on" training program based on field-proven techniques, provides a fun and orderly way to learn proper ATV operation. The rider learns about controls, reading terrain, turning, climbing hills, loading & off-loading and winching techniques.

There are additional job and/or ATV manufacturer regulations that you must adhere to as you operate an ATV. Examples include: PPE standards and public land restrictions.
